I did that with the isc about a month ago, and It helped It a little bit, so instead of sitting sticking around the 3500 mark, It dropped down to the 2500 mark

check your map sensor hoses, i knocked one off once and the revs used to hang then drop when the car was in neutral
NastyXR- 06-08-2009
The hoses are on tight and not blocked

there is a little screw type pin you can adjust on the throttle body, start the engine then try adjusting it till the revs drop, you may have to fiddle around with it a bit to get it right
NastyXR- 06-09-2009
And that should stop the revs from sticking when I take my foot off the throttle and It's trying to get back to idle?
XRated6- 06-09-2009
yea mate, ill take pic of my throttle body to show you where the screw pin is and what to do
NastyXR- 06-09-2009
Thatd be a massive help
XRated6- 06-09-2009
adjusting that screw pin will increase or decrease your revs dependong on what way you turn it
NastyXR- 06-09-2009
No joy, It has a better idle, actually lumps like It should, but revs still stick like a bitch!

I got a 95' Ef myself and i have the same problem. I don't think its doin the gearbox any good with the revs not dropping between gear changes either. If i were to wait until the revs drop and change gears properly it'd take a second or two each gear. Could just needa tune

getting picky but whats the inside of your manifold like. no oil or grime? I gather you have checked all the vaccuum hoses?
foz- 06-09-2009
The throttle bodies can get a build up of gum like material from the fuel.Maybe try cleaning it with carby cleaner or something.
danc666- 06-09-2009
Also try spraying some sort of lube down the throttle cable, it may be sticking.

I gave the manifold a clean around the same time I cleaned out the ISC, that was about a month ago. With the throttle body, It's got small holes In It on the manifold side, and all the stuff on the inside of It and on the butterfly Is peeling off, so I don't know If that may or may not help. I actually havent checked my throttle cable but It seems fine, but I'll give It a squirt today and see how It goes.
This Is a pretty damn annoying problem, and It does use a bit more fuel now since It started.
