Thought it was about time i posted some pics of my AU. its a 99 Fairmont Ghia V8, had it for about 10 months now, but dont drive it much anymore, due to the use of a work car.

Everything on it is pretty much how it rolled off the production line, so try to keep it original. Its got the tickford complience plate which sets it apart quite nicely. Only thing thats been done is a set of pacemaker extractors, and the twin exhaust i had fitted insted of the 3inch which was on the rear when i bought it.

here's some pics anyways.

After some cleaning up of the general appreance of the car, and a well over due wash, especially from the antics of last night it was soo dirty ohmy.gif .

Fitted king super lows at the front, still doesnt sit low enough to my liking lol, and my own custom springs at the rear wink.gif

Also the lights are now a new colour to match the dark paint a little more.

Hope you's like the subbtle mods! here's a pic from today smile.gif

Very nice! Except for that spoiler! I love that colour and would like to paint my car in that eventually. What colour is that called? The AUs are looking great these days. Getting better with age me thinks.

Lookin good Nic. Yours is still lower at the front than mine nonetheless wink.gif. Might have to get that seen to, but we'll see... Anyway, looks great. And what's this about "antics of last night" hmmmm? biggrin.gif

thanx's. They are getting better with age, espicially back in the day when i said i would never own one cause they gave ford a bad name, but relised there some realy nice models out there smile.gif

Ahhh, my wing sad.gif dont like it? i think it sets it off nicely, gives the back end a none droopy look tongue.gif

Sparkling Burgandy, EL GT's used the same colour wadesta/thumbsup.gif

Lets just say there was alot if grass clippings and rubber that got sprayed on my car some how?! biggrin.gif

Sparkling Burgundy was a normal EL Fairmont colour too.

Bordeaux like mine is a bit deeper, and looks even better again when it's polished up and finished with that wet-look to it... looks like it's soaked but not a bead of water to be seen haha. Awesome.

Lookin good Nick!

Yeh, it's really strange because most cars look decidedly older as they get on but the AU's are standing that test. Like a good wine they seem to be easier to appreciate as the years tick past.

Love the colour mate, painted my phone that colour a few years back.

As for teh spoiler, I think the bottom half looks brilliant but not entirely convinced with teh top bit.... otherwise nice to see another nice fairmont...especially since they are extinct now...

strange with this but i think you could get this colour in the base models too, i think all au's were avliable in all colours!

Bordeaux even has a slite tinge of purple in it too, another good colour by ford!, this one looks more brown atm, realy needs a respray, it has had one before ive noticed and the paint hasnt been mixed properly.

Looks the same as a sparkling red wine tongue.gif Rare? hmm mite have to hold onto to it in 30 years these mite be like an ESP.

With the wing, mite try removing but would realy need a lower bumper to sqaure it off again, maybe the auII tickford rear lip.

The tickford wheels and bi-plane spoiler suit it very nicely.

I like the T-series headlight mod you've done too.

Very nice car!

Thanx, some one else who approves of my wing biggrin.gif

The chrome lights were annoying me lol, stood out too much.

Next thing will proberly be to paint the chrome strip across the top of the hood and the grill souround the same colour as the car.
