Hi, in the last 2 weeks or so ive noticed my brakes have started to squeak, would this be the calipers or the discs? only does it when braking moderately, stomping on them = no noise, or softly braking = no noise also.

thanks in advance smile.gif

been told that glazed discs cause this.

also stuffed pads that have hardened too much also i believe can do this as well,

ususaly both problems are related

Usually it's just dust caught behind the pad.Take em out and blow any dirt out of the calipers.Aslo could be caused by the pads being worn out.

while we are on this subject i need to eaither skim my discs or buy new ones any perticular brand slotted rotors maybe?? its for a BF fairlane

I had the common case of warped discs on the au and the ba, and to save money I would just get them machined, which is good for a few months but then the brakes start to squeal on soft braking again.

go get some good aftermakets i would recomend either PBR or DBA rotors myself.

Put PBR's on the Fairlane bout 9mths ago and sweet as will be looking to do a BF XR spec upgrade soon with calipers.
