Hey guys
I brought a EF Mont a couple weeks ago(going to do it up in my spare time) any way it had a cheap sh*tty cd player in it that I decied to pull out last night and now it wont start she turns over has spark but it wont fire . I have hade a look at the fuel pump and it does make a clicking sound but it doesn't sound like it sucking any fuel (I think). any Ideas what it could be

Make sure it has fuel.Don't trust the gauge.Also if you have removed a stereo you may of disconected a wire on the back of the key or something.Usually stereo's have a main power feed and an accesories feed I think.

This may sound silly but does the interea light work?

The inter light affects the imob system. The fuel pump will not work when this occurs. It took me 6hrs to work that out one day.

Yeah mate your on the money put a new fuse in it not to long ago and she's all fixed

also can bypass smartlock if you leave key on acc for 30minutes.

found that out when had same problem.

also to add to the things to try i would try tapping the module where the handbrake would be in a EA-ED while trying to turn it over sometimes the solder in the joints become uncontacted.

Hey,

Just so you know, the smartlock system is hooked up to your stereo head unit. If you put a stereo back in and earth it that may fix it.

I ripped my stereo out of the EL and she wouldnt start

Other wise check your coil or fuel pump/filter i had the coil go in the ed and she did just that. Turn over but not start. Even had a spark but it wasnt strong enough.
