I've heard Toll are good, but a touch on the expensive side. Still, there's the option of TNT tongue.gif

Don't get Australian Air Express.. They lost some very expensive equipment for me..

Not to mention the things they lost were in a postage tube that was 8 inches X 9 feet long and a box that was roughly a 1x1x1 metre cube..

Most of our interstate parcels etc for work come via Toll Priority and we've never had a problem with them.

Have a look at: https://online.toll.com.au/trackandtrace/rateEnquiryHome.do

You can do a quote based on the size and weight of the item.

Hope this helps.

You could try Star Track Express.............we do a Qld to Perth service.............wouldn't have a clue on price though. You would have to ring our Customer Circus department for a price.
As Moody says , let your fingers do the walking , the yellow pages will give you a s***load of companys that could do it for you.

Andy.

Pack n Send?

Kilma- 04-03-2008
I find that Toll, TNT & the like (the huge freight companies) won't have anything to do with you. They only deal with businesses. Your package isn't worth a pinch of salt to them.

Of course, all the smaller ones who will take your business just use the bigger ones and then add their markup on top, but that's life.

Get the dimensions & weight of whatever you are sending, then as hs been said, go through the yellow pages, and get the best quote.

Make sure you let them know it is paint as well, as it will probably have to be declared as dangerous goods.

xt347/pink66- 04-04-2008
Paint is a dangerous good so you will pay more and no airfreight

foz- 04-04-2008
Tilly would it be easier to order the paint through a local supplier or not

Big Tilly- 04-04-2008
still waiting for dimensions and hat-not so still yet to query a decent quote...cheers for the ffedback guys, really opened my eyes to what i might be forking out here, i might just wait around until i have finished the escort (about the time i was thinking of re-painting it anyways) because my mind and financial issues might change...still love the colour though (when picturing it on a nice straight esky)

also thinking of a metallic black with a kind of gold/bronze pearl through it, thinking this would really turn heads on a car...

wnough talk about my plans though, back to finding a decent courier for the job wink.gif

cheers again, Big Tilly
