as above, wanting to pay as little as possible... if it runs ok and I can thrash it around then I'm happy. doesn't need to be the fastest bike around or anything, as long as I can get it before the weekend.

looking to pay around $1500-2000-ish but as I said, the less the better. don't give a toss about fairings or how it looks.

Cheers
Jais

Do you want it to be road registered Jais ?

I know of a 125 off road bike.

Not really fussed about rego Andy, 125cc should be alright for a bit of fun for someone 5'8" and about 80kgs, yeah?

Kilma- 09-15-2009
A bit less fun than anything bigger, but should be acceptable.

It's one of those Atomic bikes off eBay...............still brand new in the crate. Spose to look like a Kawasaki 125.
$900 and it's yours.

I ended up buying a china copy of the honda 250 new for under $1500 including freight did try rebuilding a old kawaski 2 stroke but spent to many hrs fixing problems.

some people are not a fan of them but there good bang for buck.

Xran- 09-16-2009
yeah brenton I've found a 200cc frame with a 250cc engine in it that I'm pretty keen on in Wangara, and it's $1600 brand spankers including helmet, gloves, goggles.

Going to have a look tomorrow evening at Andy's 125 and see if it'll be any good for my missus to have something to chuck around smile.gif she's said she doesn't really want it, but she'll change her mind. I'll make sure of it hahahaha

I'm guessing that this bike has a Ducar engine like my 200 bike. Ducar are made in the Honda factory and get shipped out the back door at a lot cheaper price.

which ever one you buy andys or the bike shop would recomend dumping the oil and replacing before giving to much of a thrashing, I ended up giving 30 minute run each night then dumped the oil for decent quaility oil before any decent thrashing which im yet to do sad.gif .

also took around 4 hrs even though its only front wheel & handle bars usualy have to bolt on, but then theres all plastics and minor ajusting and brake bleading and im bit anal and locktighted every bolt for reabiltly.

and take tools to just the chain stretch if your going for long distance drive, its a pain walking back sad.gif

yeah that sounds about right I think Andy. a mate of mine has a 200 version and says it's great, and everything is mega cheap to replace compared to KTM/kwaka/etc... eg brake lever $12 instead of $100 sort of thing.

I'm still keen on coming for a look at your bike, I'll wait to hear from you about what time you'll be home and I'll drag "she who shall be obeyed (to a point...)" along with me to see what she thinks smile.gif

Cheers for the advice Brenton, hadn't really considered that mate. Is the oil in them from new of a poor quality? When we go out it'll be with mates who have buggies, so we'll have trailers etc and won't be far to walk if need be haha. Trailer is towed behind a 4bie as well so if it's REALLY bad I'll get it dragged to wherever I am hahaha.

It's a pity that " she who shall be obeyed (to a point...) " turned the tables on you Jais and made you obey her !!!...................lol.

Never mind mate , if you change her mind , HAHAHAHAHA good luck on that one !!!!! , the bike will still be here.

Thanks Andy, and sorry again for being a pain mate. But yes, she who must be obeyed decided she didn't want me to spend more money... and now I have to fix a host of things on my own bike after giving it a thrashing today... gear/both brake levers, pegs, kick start, stand... good thing it's electric start!!!
