hello, im just wondering if the ed climate control, electric windows, and trip computer will work properly on a el fairmont ecu. if not is there a way to make them work on the el fairmont ecu.

the reason for asking is because i want to get a eb/ed fairmont fixer sedan or eb/ed sedan then respray the body, repair any rust then custom make a ed fairmont and maybe put el manifolds in or use the proper thermo fan set up in the el ecu.

i want to know how i can keep the original eb/ed entire car harness setup work eith a el ecu im making a brandnew eb/ed fairmont entire harness of course but still keeping the ed original diagram.

Your eb/d should already have all the wiring for the elec windows, so just a mater of fitting the motor's and switch's for it. ef/l motor's should fit straight in! climate control has its own module inbuilt into the unit and should't have any major link to the engine ecu. same with the trip meter, i suppose your using the entire EF dash, would be easyer to transfer the whole lot including the BCM ECU etc from the El straight into your EB, not sure if the smart lock wiring to the steering column ign barrel are the same, should be 4wires, mite just plug over.
