Just curious if people are interested in buying any of these.

Myself and Damon are looking into purchasing some and wanted to see if anyone else was also looking at purchasing one so that we could maybe get some $ off the price ( after missing out on previous group buy's)

Wont happen till the new year obviously but if there is intrest post up

Here's what they are:

Just a couple of questions regarding the lokka.

How harsh does it "bite"? Is it gonna lock up with just idle pressure going to the diff, or will it bite just when the there is any load on it, ie driving.

Is it noisy?

ok this is the deal

1) they are noisy.. sound like a ratchet... (this vid, ignore the scrapage.... had braking problems [serious tongue.gif] shows how loud it is)
View My Video

2) they wont chirp or skip the tyres in a carpark... they single spin below 15% torque ... so its not like a minispool

3) on private property, i performed a turn to the right and proceeded to snakey for 50m up the private road... BLACK lines

Im getting one for the rear of my zook maybe for my bday (if i can be bothered) biggrin.gif But i am definatley getting it fromt he US. I can have one delivered to my door from the US for under $300. No one over hear can even come close to that price..... *to be precise*
Powertrax Lockright with Couplers #1530
Price: US$249.00 + $33 delivery (takes 6 days to arrive)

now i know thta is for my zook and not for your less fancy cars:P But price wouldn't be that much more i reckon....

but if you wanna be really cool get an arb air locker! ahahahah just dont expect to be able to get the best turning circle:P But would definatley be a laugh!!

Nope was via air mail. The company im getting it from ship items to australia daily.
Ask Mr XR how long it took for a full box of reduction gears, transfer case rebuild kit and lotsa other things took to deliver....was about 6 or 7 days and that included 2 days which were weekends. That delivery price for all that s*** was around $80 - $90...

I just found my email to the US dealer about the mechanical difflock, aka Lokka lockright, and i did infact make a mistake, it wasn't $33 for delivery, it was $43 biggrin.gif even so still a bargain...!

hahaha I wouldn't like to pull apart a FWD diff assembly.... even to put one of these in!!

How much would one be looking at to get a Lokka? And would it be cheaper to get one, find someone with a machining shop, get a heap of hi-tensile metal and make some ourselves? laugh.gif

we just had a new CNC lathe come in, its soo wicked, it actullys engraves words on the object, as the lathe spins.... dont ask me how it does it but its wicked....
