Lee knows what he is talking about so i would trust what he says. Those really loud ricer cannons are just the cheep ones ($50-100) the more expensive ones don't sound that bad but still look ricer.

Also there is a perth based focus club i saw them on a cruise a few weeks ago.

Oh really, I have never heard about any perth based focus clubs. Well at least they don't have a website. Interesting...

I rang up Mettams today, to get a quote from them. They wanted $260 to do the work. They said it would cost like an extra $60 because they needed to cut the exhaust off (and something about the focus has an unusual exhaust system). I basically said 'f*** off', just not in this words.

I want to use the sites sponsor, because you guys recommend them. But will they now want to charge an extra $60 or so now if they see this so called extra work? Or would they already know that? I don't want to have to drive up to the other side of the freeway and further to then get told it's going to cost me more than my original quote. Otherwise it seems more economical to get it done down my way?

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

to get that you need a falcon.........or a V8 version of a commonwhore.
a cannon will make it loud and it will be a deep note, I used to drive around in a 3cylinder suzuki with a cannon (no i didn't own the pile of shit) and it was as loud as the falcon, and deep, but still sounded like shit. imo you don't want it very loud at all or it just sounds like rice, i'd go for the straight through muffler to give it a bit of a purr. To test before you do anything, unbolt the exhaust behind the cat and see how loud it is, then imagine it toned down a little with a straight though muffler.

I'm steering clear of the cannon. It's to ricer for my liking. Baically I can't unbolt anything from the focus as it is 1 piece :S

So I have it booked in next week to get rid of the first muffler, and go straight through to an ultra flow lukey muffler. That should finish it off nicely I hope!

Next week is a big week for my focus.

I'm finally getting my 17's put on. Getting the SL's put on to lower it 2inches. And now I am getting the exhaust!
