Make: Ford Model: Fairmont Year: 1975 Registered 1976 Colour: Banana Blush (Yellow) Engine: 302 V8 Transmission: Manual 4 on floor Body Type: Station Sedan Odometer: 347,000 State: WA Price: $3000
I bought the Station Wagon new in May 1976, when I was 38, which makes me 71 now and feeling that I should get something smaller, shorter, lighter and easier for an old guy to handle and park.
It hasn’t been altered since new, has the original engine which is just run in by now. It’s been maintained as per manufacturer’s spec by me since new. I was a real estate agent until retirement two years ago and this is the vehicle I’ve used in Metro Perth since 1976.
It had a complete rust elimination job and two-pack re-spray done in 1999. It has a two-way electric tailgate. Rego XKO 000, which on its own is probably worth some money. Pics

Wow, XB V8 Fairmont wagon - very nice!
Where are you located in Perth, any rust coming back or panel damage and how much rego is left on it?
David.

Very nice indeed, glad to see such a car maintained properly since birth haha
If macman does buy it, trust me it will be in good hands just as it has lived its life so far.

This car would be a dream come true for me, i was brought home from the hospital in a Station wagon veery similar to that that my dad had done up as a GT Wagon... GT front end, 351, toploader, etc

Bob, I was going to call you this weekend, but may as well reply here.
To be honest, your asking price is completely fair and after coming to see the old bus earlier this week it's worth every cent of the $3000 asking price - but I was not cheeky enough to offer you the $2,000 I had burning a hole in my pocket.
You have no idea how tempted I am!!!
cheers, David.
PS: For anyone interested, there are a couple of things the wagon could do with - rear tyres and gearbox shifter housing seal to name a couple, but this thing is drive-away, ready to go and I don't think you will find a more honest XB, especially at this price.
