G'Day everyone,We have a 06 XR6 in De Ja Vu no mods as of yet.I am a bike rider also and upto Jan 10th i owned a Yamaha FZ1-N but unfortunately i had a bit of a bad accident which wrote my bike off and i broke my Tibia and Fibia in my and fractured my collar bone,Lucky me i have also picked up a nasty infection in my leg and have had to go under the knife a few more times so my recovery has been a pretty slow process but as soon as i am able to i will see you all out on a cruise soon.

Hi mate, sorry to here about your accident, bike rider myself (CBR600F) hope all goes well with the op and the recovery.

Cheers for the welcome's everybody.Yeah my accident happened while i was riding down in Pemberton,I was half way around a bend and unfortunately there was gravel on the road and the front end of my bike washed out on me and down i went,I slid for a bit and then landed head/chest first down a 6 foot deep stormwater drain that was about the size of a septic tank.I'm pretty sure that my leg struck one of those white picket road markers which snapped both my leg and the picket in half.I've been stuck in a wheelchair for the last 3 months and i have a lovely mechano set hanging out of my leg will will probably be there for atleast another month or 2.Atleast while sitting around the house all day gives me a chance to catch up on a bit of reading on here and the bike forums i go on and research the mods that i want to do to the car once i am back at work again.

Well just a quick update.After nearly 5 months i am going back under the knife tomorrow to have the metal removed from my leg,Apparently my leg may be subject to heavy bleeding afterward so i'm not sure at this stage as to whether or not i will have to stay in RPH tomorrow night or whether i will be allowed to go home either way on Thursday all things going well they are going to be putting me in a plaster cast for well who knows how long possibly 6-12 weeks i would think.So at this stage i have still got along road ahead of me so fingers crossed there will be no more problems with my recovery because i am sick of sitting around the house allday and i'm getting to many ideas for mods to the ED
