Hey guys just thought id let you no how our local holden dealer ripped off my girlfriends brother. It started off with a smell in the cab of his vz ute, presumably from spilled drinks or something. He said he was going to take out the seats to give the carpet agood clean. I told him to make sure he disconnected the battery first and let it sit just incase it stuffed the computer around somehow (because of the electric seats)
Well he forgot too and when he connected it all back up the airbag light came on and stayed on. The next day he took it to ultratune and they said they didnt have the software or something, so today he took it into the holden dealer at about 7:30 and the apparently didnt even start fixing it untill 11:00. Anyway he ended up with a $130 bill. Surely all they had to do was plug in a computer and punch in a code. at least they washed it though lol.

$130 doesn't sound so bad to me for dealer pricing.

But yeah, Trent hit the nail on the head, $130 is cheap cheap for rip-off dealers .

Big question is, did they get rid of the smell?

well ive never taken my car to a dealer and never will if they charge that much for somethin so small . And he kinda got the smell out . I suggested he take off the holden badges and the smell will be gone

see they saw a problem and circled it lol. nah $130 for a dealer is pretty good even North Coast Electrical would normally charged about $75 (i think) to hook the car up to the computer. You could try and angue with them due to them possibly causing the problem but i dont like your chances

The diagnostic shit costs a fortune to buy and keep updated so $130 isnt that bad, ive heard a lot worse then that.
