hey jais, who did your exhaust tip and how much? im looking into one of them tips, hate the big single one

sorry it's taken me um.... FOREVER to reply... I didn't know there was a post in here!!

I actually scabbed them off a mate who changed his over. He got them from Diffen's Malaga, and then I got a guy around the corner from where I used to work to weld them on in my lunch break one day. Sorry I can't be of anymore help.... but good luck!

Got a set of FTR's for the fat slug with 235's on them and they look awesome. Shame a lot of the rubber ends up on my suspension though......... ah well. Ultralows have their "low" points - HAHA!!! ......

Tickford head, fuel reg and another cam have gone in... I haven't seen or heard it yet since its been finished off, but I spent a few days on it while it was in the workshop and covered the extractors in knuckle blood, and I'm pretty sure the timing cover and sump got a fair bit too. Balancer was cactus so put a new one on, and when we took the head off the plastic timing chain guide was broked... made for a real fun job. Hopefully it will sound as good as the car the cam came out of... and go just as well too!

Sold the eliminator chip out of it - well swapped ECU's for a tickford one... and will be getting aftermarket setup as soon as my mate hands the coin over from it, so will see just what can be coaxed from the combo.

Can't really think of anymore updates right now... none that I want to give away just yet at any rate. Some people know but they will keep their mouths shut haha.

Last thing happening with it at the moment - the stereo is playing up. Sounds like there's a loose connexion somewhere that I'm yet to hunt down. Will more than likely pull the entire boot install apart when I get home and spend a few days finding it...

sounds good jais! Sucks about the stereo tho hunting down loose conections is a pain in the ass! always seems to the the last thing you check!! Good luck!

haha yeah cheers Dan. That's the way it usually goes! The last wire you check will be the one that needs tweaking.

The thing I'm dreading most is pulling the whole boot apart only to find it's something behind the dash. But the fact that it only comes thru the rear speakers and it's only turning a right-hand corner makes me think it's in the boot somewhere... Not looking forward to it haha

I'd check the headunit first, i had a similar prob. pulled the whole car apart to find it was at the hu. The hu should be quicker than the boot. May save you some time but then again may not...........haha

yeah check it as a matter of course... you're right. Easier to take off that fascia and *crosses fingers* hopefully find it, rather than tear the boot apart!!

Installed these yesterday


Water temp is on the left, boost/vacuum in the middle, AFR on the right. Water temp isn't hooked up as the thread on the sensor is weird and doesnt match any unc/unf/metric/imperial threads... so I have to get the proper connector for it and chop into the top radiator hose. Boost/vac seems to work fine. AFR seems to have something wrong with the button on it, which is why I think it jumps all over the place. Was working fine while out driving around earlier though. If it's accurate, then holy mother of god falcon's run rich!!!!!!!

Nice jais!! No boost yet?? falcons run a bit rich but i didn't think that rich!!!

BOOOOOOST. and the gauges are awsome

just got her back from the tuners today after fitting an EMS to it. MUCH better spread of power now than it had before.

Final result is 175HP at the wheels, on the Ovaboost dyno.
