picked this up on Tues... had to get the die grinder out and touch a lot of it up. I think largely because it's a prototype, but still.... anyway it's all fixed up and ready to be bolted on:
Shitty phone pic, but meh. Don't like it? fvck off hahahaha

thats a small TB aint it?

this is the main thing I had to tidy up... in fact I think the die grinder is still in it haha. But yeah after talking with the guy doing the install we agreed that sharp corners = turbulence = fail. So I spent this morning smoothing the edges off. Going to get the sand paper out tomorrow on a drill and polish it all, same as the port and "polish" haha. Then will polish it right up once it's been bolted to the car and fingers will be staying away for a while

no it's a big plenum haha. It's the normal AU TB Gav... and boost is boost dude, with the high-stall I don't really think that an enormous TB will make that much difference. Only thing I think I have to do is swap the ISC onto it from the EF, and iirc they bolt straight onto each other.

they ll just be a milk shake of blood and bone by then, good for your garden, not so good for your combustion chamber.
Does look good, and nice to see some one go for something different sitting on there L6

hahahaha that paints a funny picture: fertilising the lawn with the exhaust pipe
and thanks man, the only challenge left with that that I can think of is getting the right length throttle/cruise control cables. But I'm told that there's a place just down at Malaga who can make them up if you just show them the ends that you need. Hopefully that will be the last obstacle with the plenum *crosses fingers*

Should look good when it's all fitted up.Where does the carby sit though
Xran- 06-19-2009
hahahaha the carby stays on the blue tank

Cant u use the longer eb throttle cables?
Xran- 06-20-2009
don't think so at this stage, but will see once it's all on if ED cables will be long enough
skitzophreNic- 06-20-2009
use electroinc throttle control then?
Xran- 06-20-2009
don't trust fly-by-wire..... I'll take a shielded cable any day

Well this has been off the road for a while now getting.... stuff..... done
Looks like fmic piping is semi-organised now, just have to have a chat with the guy doing it to make sure he's ok with it. Plenum should be finished/modified to fit properly after the weekend.
Yesterday picked up some bling, and have just organised the purchase of chrome door handles and a bigger swaybar from Kilma, to be finalised on Fri morning.
I think all that's left to organise is exhaust from dump pipe to bumper, and a re-tune. The rest is organised, but "yet to be completed" haha. Slim possibility that it could be done while I'm still home, but I'm not fussed if it isn't. I'd much rather it all gets done properly, and so far everything has been done to perfection (IMHO, of course).
