well from wat i can see in the pic its an early ef cause ef has the black body strips all the way round el has black on the sides colored on the bumpers and also it has ef tail lights el hav an orange color indicator ef has clear

Although I agree, it *does* look like an EF... body mouldings, bumpers, hubcaps and tail lights can all be changed between the 2. I could make my ZC look like a ZD by swapping front grilles and slightly different chrome moulds down the sides/boot too..... but it's still a ZC. The point I'm making is MEH - get back on topic. hahaha.

What do you want from your car anyway mate? First of all, you have to work that out. Do you want a cruiser? A drag-strip destroyer? Something for circuit-work? A drift-pig? A rolling stereo? Or a general all-rounder that's O.K. at everything?

There are so many options, and everyone wants something different and has their own ideas on how to go about it. Either way, the suspension and driveline will be costing you big $$ if you want to do it right... so have a think about what it is you want to achieve, then post it up in here and let us know and I have no doubt that you'll get people's opinions whether you like them or not. Oh don't forget to use your search button up the top if you're looking for "extractors" or whatever as well. Chances are that 100 newbies have come along before and asked all the same questions hahaha

ef el wahts the differance it has a ford badge thats all that matters if you wanna all rounder go hard out make it to what you want ask questions and learn from all the stuff on the forums, if i was you id look at tocchis turbo el/ef xr and go from there

I think if your looking at the turbo road then you should really do some homework. heres a link to get you started

as far as the other things go. maybe look at getting a new stereo with a good amp, splits, 6x9s and a decent sub. thatll be the doof doof taken care of. i would hold of on all perf mods until you decided on wether you want to go down the turbo rd. personally (what ive wanted to do for a while) is search for a ba/bf turbo motor and do a transplant from a write off. it may cost you a bit more but then you are almost guaranteed a reliable every day car with high power. once thats sorted you can look at changing the look. i would look at 19s maybe for some new shoes, provided your happy with spacers. most wheels for pre au are 18" and smaller.
