woah its been ages since last update..

umm not sure where to start.

well i guess firstly, the bottom end internals are for sale. im purchasing an Atomic bottom end rated to 950kw.

ive got 60Lb Siemens injectors for it. ummm and a few little other toys for it smile.gif

ive found out the 8860 cant run the DVCT.. so im gonna be looking at the new Autronic EMS... worse case, have to go Motec... but i dont like the idea of paying $4000 for an ECU lol

update pics this week wink.gif

haha its as easy as that ey?? Damn whens it gonna be ready?

Tocchi- 02-12-2008
it could be running by the Dyno Day... but cosmetically its a while away

saying that, i plan to get the XR6T interior sorted, and get the other little car fixed and sold.
so the ute wont be first priority... only due to i need to get rid of other things first

MR XR- 02-12-2008
ahhh, is this the torana you got, or another one? mehg its a project, its spose to be a while, ur virtually giving this thing a new lease on life, whether or not the chassis will love you is another question tongue.gif

Tocchi- 02-12-2008
nah not the Torry. that went a while back.

its a TX3 Laser Turbo - 4wd 5spd

Man i love what you've done to that ute, that's what i would love to do to mine, hopefully i get it this weekend. Rock out with the XG's

FTe_XR8- 03-18-2008
hey matt, u been on fordmods lately? "fordman351" is putting a BA 4L into his EL, very interesting read and it'll prob help u out alot especially with the sump and the other bits and pieces. his is currently in at BPT getting the electrics done cos he couldnt find a management system which by the looks of it you've had more luck with it... anyway good luck cant wait to see this weapon

ok since my FG topic got hijacked... ive posted in here

basically ive come to the point with the XG to decide whether,
1) pursue getting permits for it (aka engineered)
2) dedicate it solely to drags

option 1) limits me to what i can do, and the ease of engineering it.
but its road legal.

option 2) means i can go all out (as per CAMS and ANDRA regulations), and i dont have to worry about modding the ute to the road rules and such
but meaning i need to be careful on the road, due to no permits, or if i get a yellow sticker, organise a B-rego. (for driving to and from events)

im thinking option 2 would be easier, since im gonna be running the Motec SDL (sports dash logger) dash cluster ($2700 approx)... meaning it would be harder to get engineered.
and that way i can get the full cage put in smile.gif plus get the whole interior removed and just have flat sheet metal covering the interior engine firewall.

im leaning towards 2, but ive love some input from other people smile.gif

boogernissan- 07-31-2008
option 2.
fg got a tow bar??use it as a tow car for the ute, take the ute to the drags, drift comps and shit i rekon

XRated6- 07-31-2008
option 2 i reckon, that way you can go all out on it biggrin.gif

Big Tilly- 07-31-2008
definitly option 2, that way u can make it a showcar too and enter it in comps and shit lol, plus theres no point in such a huge conversion when u have to limit things to get it regod, go the whole hog bro
