ok since my FG topic got hijacked... ive posted in here
basically ive come to the point with the XG to decide whether,
1) pursue getting permits for it (aka engineered)
2) dedicate it solely to drags
option 1) limits me to what i can do, and the ease of engineering it.
but its road legal.
option 2) means i can go all out (as per CAMS and ANDRA regulations), and i dont have to worry about modding the ute to the road rules and such
but meaning i need to be careful on the road, due to no permits, or if i get a yellow sticker, organise a B-rego. (for driving to and from events)
im thinking option 2 would be easier, since im gonna be running the Motec SDL (sports dash logger) dash cluster ($2700 approx)... meaning it would be harder to get engineered.
and that way i can get the full cage put in

plus get the whole interior removed and just have flat sheet metal covering the interior engine firewall.
im leaning towards 2, but ive love some input from other people
