ok so no tent and TV/projector setup with pictures from cruises and events scrolling through? If you guys want to do that then I can bring my computer down loaded up with all that stuff, as well as all my music and can bring down the Z-5500 speakers from the lounge room... kill 2 birds with one stone.

I reckon that with a kiddie pool, the banner and maybe a couple of ford flags would look pretty good and attract a good crowd? To me that's all pretty simple. The genset I'd borrow off dad would more than run that gear, and would only need a 20L jerry can on standby to re-fuel maybe twice a day max - which I also have one of at home.

Not a definite no for the speaker/projector/compter etc. Just on the back burner to make sure we have the essentials right first.

Just don't want to make all these plans, then have them all fall in a heap.

I think this is a good idea, its fairly simple to set up and should be enough to draw a few more people in.

If we don't put in some effort how will we ever get a good spot?

just listening to crystal method - keep hope alive at work and thinking that would make a good background track to some footage of cruises and events have we got some footage already that can use or we have the track day-afd-powercruise all comming up so can use some of that i guess and some good cruises also

The only footage I've got Gav is burnouts from one of the drag nights ages ago. Spose that couldn't hurt to have playing in the background though hahaha

I didnt mean dont put a decent effort in. Just dont go over the top with stuff thats all.

One thing with it all is people are going to be in and out all the time doing bog laps/events etc. So it might pay to organise the cars up the front and have any other things towards the back out the way. I might go digging through some pics and see how other clubs did.

If only we could get a map of where everyone is, would make life so easy.

ok im thinking about sending out dozen or so PMs stating that the club would like [insert name here] to enter MV10 under the clubs name will make it easier come rego time and getting things into order.

the second year we attend will leave it to the punters to come to us with forms... just need to get some response to it all.

yeah man, unless my next few pay cheques clear like the last couple, which unfortunately I doubt, the real-steel Lane will be parked in the back yard on blocks, getting each panel removed 1 at a time to be stripped, repaired, prepped and primed... then there's the interior haha, which will be a lot of custom work done by me, and the engine bay needs to be tidied, wires hidden, holes filled etc

Nah not gonna happen, won't have the money. My stereo needs a lot of work and i don't have the time or money to do what i want.
