Yup like Aaron said I had the Siemens Deka 630cc injectors fitted for my custom tune.
On Xtreme's dyno my KPM 10psi generic tune was making about 265rwkw (at around 36 degrees) and the custom tune ended up at 275.6rwkw (at 40 degrees temp with heat soak..etc). So overall it gained about 10kw at its peak power. Also the peak power now is at 5300rpm as opposed to 5800rpm before, but in general overall power and torque is significantly higher. I'm getting peak torque of about 530 Nm at only 3800 rpm
Simon said he has my actuator completely shut when its under power, so all the boost its making is going straight into the motor (not dumping any out) and it was only making about 10psi on the 40 degree day. That just goes to show how much of a difference changing my cat will make! one day i'll put a bigger cat on and get him to retune it again. That should make a significant power increase too.

Well, I did take it down last night, and the best I could manage (without frying tyres half track!!) was a 12.9 at 108mph
I've officially destroyed my 19's and I'm now looking for some decent 19" tyres for the rear, as well as some good slicks for my stock 17" rims. If I want to get a quicker time I need slicks I think.
Kilma- 01-30-2008
Very nice. Well done. There should be a bit left in it still.
What do you guys rekon is better, if I get slicks put onto my standard 17" XR rims, or is it better to try find like 15"/16" steel rims and put slicks onto them?
Kilma- 01-31-2008
Whatever you can find that is wider. 17"s have plenty of sidewall for you to let the tyres down if you are going that serious. Anything bigger is when you need to start paying attention.
15/16/17 will all do pretty much the same job for 12 second territory. You don't have to worry too much until you get a bit lower in the times.

You could run M/T street et tyres on your 17's.That way you could drive to the track with them on already.
chrgd xr- 01-31-2008
get yourself a pair of mickey thomson et street radial 275/40 r17. run them on my ute absolutely no wheel spin at all. got mine from chris mills. street legal so you can drive down with them on. best money i spent for the track. what were your 60ft times?
danc666- 01-31-2008
You'd prob get better hook up on a smaller rim.
I'd go a set of These in 15x9's With these on them
petexr6t- 01-31-2008
12.9 is ok, 275rwkw is nice for what mods you have too. my car is getting tuned as i speak and i should get it back tomorrow mid day. i got quoted pretty similar power to you. hopefully i get more than what you got cause ill have it tuned with 3.5inch cat and exhaust, fuel pump and intercooler too. otherwise i spent all that extra dollars on nothing!!!!!
XF Falcon- 01-31-2008
Pete, thats awesome mate, let me know how it goes. You will definitely make more power than me. Mine was tuned on a 40 degree day, and the thing would not make more than 10psi thanks to my standard cat and the hot air on the day.
chrgd xr, hows the clearance of the tyres on your ute? Is your car very low at all?
petexr6t- 01-31-2008
cheers man, ill pick it up tomorrow, take it for a hoon, then post up the resutls. spent the money on the speed now i got none for looks!! ur car is real tidy AND fast. quality.
AaronXR- 01-31-2008
I would have thought your MPH would have been higher, but i'm guessing with you tyre frying half the track it has something to do with it
When i was running my street nankangs/dunlops my 60ft was a very pathetic (2.3+) becuase of wheel spin, but i was still hitting the top at 120mph
chrgd xr- 01-31-2008
yeh utes really low dont have a problem with clearance. dont know if clearance in wheel archers differs sedan to ute. 275/40r17 is the same in height as the 265/30r19 i run as standard just a touch wider. i dont think youll have a problem plenty of sedans getting round with 275/30r19 on the rear so 17s shouldnt be a problem.
BENXR6T- 01-31-2008
correct me if im wrong, but 15's wont fit on the BF? calipers are too big
get ahold of a set of 16's mike, and put M/T drag radials on. dont go a full slick, it will be overkill. give chris mills a ring, i may be able to get you a discount too
well done on the 12's man. thats awesome
XF Falcon- 01-31-2008
Well I did try fit these slicks to my car a long time ago, and they did not clear the calipers, so your probably correct. I will have to check if they were 15 or 16" rims.
I guess the easiest way would be to get either 2 cheap ass 16" rims which have the correct offset, or try buy two 16" steelies which are standard on the XT's..etc. I guess the lighter the rims are, the better it will be
