Hi again,

Finally made the post for my XR6T.

Got it around April this year. BF MK I, 6 speed automatic with 30,000kms on the clock.

Stock as a rock to start with.



Well since then I've de-badged the car, removed the spoiler (looking for a new boot still), tinted it with darkest tint, lowered it recently, im in the process of installing an old XBOX into the car (works great just sorting out the power for it), put in a tripod (still to buy the gauges tho), 'GT' style upper/lower mesh grille, slimline plates, chrome turbo badge and custom "XR" badges on front/rear and steering wheel.

Power wise, it's got a typhoon CAI, king dragon air filter, GFB Stealth FX BOV, a generic 10psi tune and its pushing out 270 rwkw at the moment. When i get off my butt i'll take it into Xtreme Ford Tuning and I'll get some more power out of it.

Here's how it looks at the moment. Its getting the front lowered tomorrow another 10mm, so it should sit even nicer.

You have done well with nice simple mods, and made the car look a lot tidier than Ford did IMO.

I just came back from the suspension place, I got the front dropped another 10mm or so. So all up its 45mm lower up front and 50mm lower at the back compared to standard.

BENXR6T, the spoiler is currently removed the dodgy way with tape over the holes. Theres 4 bolts on the underside of the boot and then you unplug the wire for the middle brake light and that's it. I'm currently chasing up an XT bootlid to buy and put in its place, its a lot easier as these spoilers bend the boot a bit on the edges.

The turbo badge is off ebay. Ford does not make the TURBO badge in silver, even on the Ghia TT's they are red.

oh ok, are the holes visible from the outside once this is done?

They sure are In the picture above of the back end, you can see the raised bits where the holes are. The tape I put over the holes are painted in mercury silver so it blends in a bit, but its still definitely noticeable.

The choices are to chase up an XT Falcon boot and do a straight swap, or get the boot (minus the spoiler) panel beated and spray painted again.

Sorry about the hijack. As for the tint, try Trent @ TKO tinting. Does a mint job at a very reasonable price. Expect ~$300 for darkest legal if you need current tint stripped, or ~$250 if you don't have any yet. That will be the rough price for most place you try. He also does custom jobs, and does them bloody well, but beware, they will be illegal on the street.

best looking XR6T i seen. If i had a BA BF i would do the same things to it
