hey, can someone please explain a flash tuner to me?
from buying it
to installing.
and then i have to get it customed tuned?

just a bit of light on this subject thanks

1) buy a 'flash tuner' which is a box, costs about 500-600 and you get to keep, stores 3 custom tunes and your factory tune
2) custom tuning it - take it to a tuner who will load between 1 and 3 custom tunes into it as you ask for, maybe a valet mode etc.
3) installing it, plug it into your OBD port and choose a tune, wait a minute for it to flash in and drive away. swap between them as you please.

so you only have to take the box to a tuner to get a custom tune? or the car and box?

and dont you get a tune with the box?

car will have to go if you want a good tune as every car is different.

I believe some places offer a 'generic' tune with the box, however it's a bit pointless getting a generic tune if your after more power.

shaker.
growler kit
and custom tune.
also a shift kit.

any ideas on the rwkw's i could get out of this?

since this is gonna take awhile im just aiming for something to keep my hopes up haha

i was going to use D&T cuz i heard good things bout them but they've since changed their name so i dont kno anymore..

but you have options.
fit it yourself, which they give you instructions to do,
or take it down to any local panel beater and im sure they can do it for around 200 - 400 dollars.
keep in mind for that price you have the peace of mine your not gonna stuff your bonnet haha.

i would say youll clear the 310-330 kw mark which would possible be anything up to 250rwkw. its quite disappointing with these 8s as far a power output per mod goes. i would give the shaker a miss for now and invest in 4:11 gears and get some mean take off happening
