Hey guys and girls, I don't think i've put this up on here before, so here's my Falcon.
It's a 1966 XR Falcon 500. 200ci 6 cyl "Super Pursuit" with a 3 speed column manual.
Brought it out this weekend gone to give it a wash, a good run and to take some crappy phone pictures. The under bonnet pic is an old one and the side on pic is crap, but you get the idea Should take some better pics when i get my camera working again.

Awesome, simply awesome. Going to keep her ridgey (I assume she's original now?) or you going to tickle her a little? Or a lot?

Plans from the start were to keep it original. The only thing changed from standard was the front end over to power discs from the original drum brakes, for usability and safety mainly as it was the car i drove on my L's and early P's.
If i was to change anything, or was rebuilding it again, i'd have put in front XR Fairmont bucket seats (trimmed to match) and a 4 speed gearbox (single rail) floor shift as that would make it a lot nicer to drive.
The 200ci has a lot of life in it, and a very light flywheel which makes it rev easily i think, but the gearbox lets it down. The shift is sloppy and the ratio's are pretty bad.
I believe the 2v head (from a later model pre-crossflow) is meant to liven the motor up further, but not sure if they fit the 200 block, as the 2v's were on the taller 250 blocks - maybe someone can clear this up for me?

LOVE the XR It's not everyday you see a original motored XR, especially a six. Most guys want big cubes and bent power. Like the venetians too!! NICE

looks nice with a bit of a wash!! I need to drive it one day I think.
and whats happened to your camera!?!
macman- 04-28-2008
Yeah it was dirty-as before because it doesn't get the attention it deserves. I'll let you know next time i'm down your way with it, you can try it out
My camera had no batteries and no memory card as i lost them. Dick Smith fixed that though.
