The front brakes are basically a Hoppers Stoppers kit.300mm rotors and PBR twin piston calipers. You need at least 15" rims to fit them.
The rears are standard drum brakes. wadesta/thumbsup.gif

I haven't done a lot of miles on them yet but they seem to be better than the stockies. The real test will be when I do another track day

OK new alterator is here and it looks great. Will try to get it on this weekend but the missus has a big list of stuff for me to do around the house first. sad.gif
Does anyone know which filter is finer between a 40 micron and 100 micron filter.I'm not sure which way the numbers go in microns.
cheers.

A micron is one millionth of a meter, or equivalently one thousandth of a millimeter.

So going by that I'd have to say that a 40 micron filter is the finer of the two wink.gif

Hmmm thats what i'm thinking too Ben.My 40 micron filter keeps clogging coz I think they are designed for high pressure fuel injected systems.I think If a 100 micron filter is not as fine I should use one of them.

Fitted the new alternator today.Wasn't quite as easy as I thought it would be.First I couldn't get the Gilmer drive pulley off the old one so I ended up cutting the shaft off and belting it out.Next the spcer wasn't long enough for the new alternator so I cut some of the mount off the old one to make it long enough. Will have to make a one piece one when I get a chance. Then the mounting bolt hole was too small. They are designed for Chevs so I had to drill it out to the correct size.Lastly I had to track the wiring for the igniyion light and rewire that. Now it is charging at 14.2 volts so I can go out at night again biggrin.gif

100 micron = .01 centimetres
40 micron = .004 centimetres

My latest thinking is the Octane Booster I'm using is leaving residue in the filter.Still I'll put a 100 micron filter in and see if it helps.

Mate, what a beautiful car and awesome build. I love the X dubs! I'm so envious. I don't think the cars of today will ever have the presence in the future that these cars have now. Gotto love the old-school brawn!
