It can be done but will cost upwards of $1000.It would probably be better than going 40 thou in the long run.The big problem is the cost of repairs versus buying new gear from the States.I may be able to get a short motor for less than the cost of the parts here.

Hey Foz, why don't you go straight for a 9.2 deck Dart,SVO or World block?...it costs more but it's cheap insurance in the end.
I don't think that guy that was casting new clevelands has got much further.

Unfortunately the budget won't stretch that far Pete.I may end up just putting a standard engine in it if I can't get something organised soon.

hey foz thats real bad news about the engine mate, it took me a long time to find a new block for mine but it did happen, i got one from a joint that advertisess in perth street car they bring in complete engines from the states i cant think of there name but they have full page adds ill flick a copy when i get home to find the name, it took 4 or 5 goes to get a block that would pass the crack testing and sonic test but they did have one!!! patience mate it will come together..
