they did but few of them where 87 builds cause the XF sold out so quickly than ford had thought it would so were left around "twidling thumbs" so to speak.

the ones built in 87 where the 3.2lt taxi packs(no AU jokes please lol)

Correct! wink.gif

They are hard to come by but they are around.

The tickford computer was chipped and installed today, nothing special yet, just running a stock EL XR6 manual tune, made it a lot more responsive over the gli ecu.

I've located a 3.45LSD, now just waiting a few weeks until i have the cash to get it put in, it's from an EL and so theres a bit of coin required to make it fit. Worth it to get rid of the 2.77 though smile.gif

Well it's been a while, so time for an update I guess, a few pics of the rather boring sound install, but it sounds alright, It's going to get an 1800W cadence 5 channel amp and a new deck, but I want it boosted before I put that sort of gear in it.

And put a new boot carpet in as well tongue.gif Looks like it would pump.DOOF DOOF DOOF!!!!! biggrin.gif

Tapper21- 02-21-2009
Yeah new boot carpet is on the list, along with new roof carpet, with the full ef/el fairmont dash/trim invasion, the bodykit, the purple paintjob and the boost. Did I ever mention how much I hate cars? smile.gif

Tapper21- 07-02-2009
update, today I picked up some gear to go in, 2xKicker subs, a new monoblock to power them and a 4 channel to power my speakers. Hopefully installing it ont he weekend and should make the car fall apart smile.gif

Tapper21- 07-05-2009
All the gear is now in and running, had to put a dash mounted toggle switch as part of the system control wire to the monoblock so the subs can be flicked on or off as per the girlfriend's demands...........but it has all be tuned and it shakes the shit out of the carl, short of replacing every panel of the car with dynomat I don't think it will ever stop rattling, but the look on people's faces in traffic is priceless. Not the most powerful system but completely overkill for any purpose other than letting people know i'm only a few streets away

Will put up some pics as soon as I find the cable to upload (unless the cat ate it AGAIN)
