Shaun,

I heard a little something about this build.

Are the heads going to have to come off? If so are you going to do some work to them before they go back on?
Would be interesting to see if the 3v heads can be worked to flow aswell as the 4v's.

hey I have totally forgotten I had this thread for a while. Stupid me.


Yeh when they tried to pull the plugs out 7 out of 8 plugs snapped in the heads. Resulting in the metal casing being left behind in the head and not comming out. BPT had to remove the heads to get them out. Was either that or get a special tool from ford in the US. Which would have taken ab out 2 weeks to get. So the heads came off instead. Na didnt get any head work done. The blower is setting me back 15k already so money is a bit tight now. The 3v heads can be proted and polished no worries but costs money which I dont have ATM.

Was good that the head came off anywhay because they recon the top of the pistons was thick with carbon buildup from the previous owner not changing the oil frequently. Carbon everywhere they recon. So they cleaned everything and back to normal now.

Apparently they had the blower fitted on friday but two hoses were not fitting properly and kinking. So they werent happy with it. So they have taken the blower back off and just waiting for some different fittings to stop the two hoses from kinking.

Next week looks like it will be the week for pick up thank god. They recon I should see about 450rwhp or about 330rwkw. And a monster load of torque.

Yep I will be doing joy rides at the next cruise. All you have to do is ask.

Just worked somthing out. If I have 450rwhp that works out to be 335rwkw. They say rwhp is roughly kw at the motor. So if thats 450kw at the motor that works out to be 603hp at the motor. What a beast. wadesta/face.gif

Come on glenn that was only once I left it in for a bit too long. But yeh they recon for the amount of carbon that had built up it would have happened a while ago. Before I got my hands on it.

Still no sign of it. Was hoping to get it back last thursday but no go. They recon there waiting on two little hose connectors. Might see it next week. But not getting my hopes up. As long as I get it back before october.

Just a sneek peek.

Getting dyno tuned tomorrow. And hopefully I will drive it home tomorrow also.

A Few specs:
The blower is a 2.1L Eaton M122h supercharger. Straight off the Shelby GT500 mustang. The 'H' standing for hybrid. Its a cross between a Roots type blower and a Screw type blower.

The fuel system is good for 1000hp. Full custom fuel system. Fuel rails manufactured by BPT.

Custom Whipple intake manifold with an internal water to air intercooled which sits inside the manifold under the blower.

Cant wait.

Holy Shit. That looks friggen awsome. Did they make the manifold and fuel rails up just for your car, or were they developing a 3v kit or somthing, cause it all looks pretty refined. lucky shit tongue.gif

They are developing this kit for the aussie 3v as a package. This is the first BPT PD supercharger kit they have made up and the first one of its kind fitted to an aussie 3v. Designed to bolt straight up and have clearance everywhere so no cutting or modifying.
