Cheers Darkr. It makes the spending of so much money worth it when people appreciate it as much as I do.

Thanks

Went down to the drags at the Perth Motorplex.

Got a personal best of 12.727.

I had major traction issues. I struggled to get any traction on every run. Some runs getting almost half track wheelspin fethering the throttle trying to get traction. It was just rediculous. Its got too much torque for its own good.

I need to invest in some drag slicks. Then I should hopefully see myself in the 11's. Doing all the sums and comparing cars down there tonight I dont see why I shouldnt come close or be in the 11's.

Just gotta tame this wild beast.

Im guessing that that is still on the restricted tune? I think you'll need to wrap chains around the tyres when she is running at max power wadesta/thumbsup.gif

yep ball tearer tune still too come.

Be careful. They'll kick you out if you run an 11 unless you have a bunch of other gear (tail shaft loop and so forth) plus an andra license. Half the reason I havn't bothered with slicks for mine.

xt3valve- 09-22-2008
That would be good braging rights. Getting kicked out of perth motorplex for being to quick.

BlacklistedXR- 09-22-2008
Nice mate. That is a very quick time and can only get better once you can find some rubber that can hold all that torque. Should be a handful once you get the performance tune from BPT as well.
Im starting to get worried now. wacko.gif
Might have to put a 150hp shot of nitrous in next time im at the drags. wadesta/spiteful.gif

Nice time dude!!

What were your 60ft's and MPH?

I'd definately reccomend some MT ET Streets or the same 225/50/16 Hoosiers that im getting.
I'd say your suspension is a bit unforgiving for drag racing with that amount of torque aswell.

biggav- 09-22-2008
yeh some firmer shocks or some adjustables to stop the squat should help in the quest for quicker times/traction.

On my best run of 12.727.

114.79 mph
60' 2.382 (wheel spin)

I have a set of stock Ba/bf 16" steelies. Would the hoosiers that your getting fit these. I think there 7" wide but not shure. And what price am I looking at for two. Oh and are they radials or cross ply's.

Cheers

Yep plenty of MPH there for an 11sec pass.
60ft is a shocker though, some decent tyres and more practise will see that drop below 2.0

Yep the Hoosiers will fit those wheels no worries, im putting them on 16x7" FTR's.
They are a tad over $300 each, give Dave @ A1 a ring and he'll sort you out.
They are DOT radials mate.

xt3valve- 09-23-2008
Might have to start saving my pennies than and get a set.

fnp- 09-23-2008
Those numbers look simular to mine. My PB is a 12.38@115mph with a 2.2 second 60 foot time. I'm sure mine will crack an 11 with slicks and a high stall so yours should be well and truly capable too I'd say.

BENXR6T- 09-28-2008
dont get hoosiers man, get MT drag radials. 225's will not help your cause for traction......the MT's are 255's, iv'e seen them on plenty of high powered cars, and their fine. i can get you a brand new set for 560, just PM me if your interested

no they wont

if you go quicker than 10.99, then your in trouble. nothing will happen if you run a 11, people run them all the time in street trim cars down there.....
