does that extinguisher have a tag on it? (i cant see one in photos)

because if it doesnt, you probably want to source one with a tag.... because a lot of events (that require extinguisher) wont allow you in if its not tagged (and in date)

Yeh have got the yellow tag. Its not dated or stamped though. Will put it on anyway.

I got my extinguisher from supercheap. CAMS approved for $31 or somthing.

dont get hoosiers man, get MT drag radials. 225's will not help your cause for traction......the MT's are 255's, iv'e seen them on plenty of high powered cars, and their fine. i can get you a brand new set for 560, just PM me if your interested

If you run slicks, You must run Front runners (cross ply's).

If you can spare it a set of slicks and front runners will pick up a few mph and perhaps a few 1/10s, due to the less drag, but all up you might be looking at 2 -2.5 grand for a new set front and back with front runner rims to match.

Looking good Shaun, will be interesting to see her in full flight again, hopefull a few 11's and plenty of smoke.

Schnoods you can get Drag RADIALS which are a slick drag tyre. But radial in construction not cross ply. So would be ok to use with normal street tyres on the front.

if you could pick yourself up a pair of cheap xr 17's. you could run mt street radials 275/40's. run them on mine highly recommend them. i get 1.9 60fts with them leaving the line with no boost. you should be looking at 1.8ish at least beings yours is pd blower. you may even find your mph comes down a touch with the lower 60 ft you will be making it to half track quicker therefore dont have as much time to cover second half of track.

Thats a good idea charged. But money isnt my friend at the moment. So it will be a while before I get anything. Probably close to christmas early next year by the way it looks.

Just another note on fire extinguishers, in order to be CAMs complaint they must be secured with a nut on top and a bolt under the floorpan. A screw through the top is not enough.

Awell. Im not racing the thing so its fine for what I want. Just in case it catches fire doing burnouts or somthing. Or if someone else is in need. You never know when you night need it.

Im in the process of making and installing a water jet system on the front of the falcon. To cool the intercooler, radiator and tranny cooler. Will drasticly reduce heat when on the burnout pad.

Post picks up when I get them.

MR XR- 10-06-2008
Windscreen squirters are the best for that biggrin.gif

xt3valve- 10-06-2008
Yeh heard of that. But have another idea im going to use.

GlennO87- 10-06-2008
Shaun if you want help hooking it up give me a yell i would love to help......can you put a big ass intercooler on it?

xt3valve- 10-06-2008
No need for a "big ass intercooler" glenn. Its a different setup to the traditional ones. The actual intercooler core is inside the intake manifold under the supercharger. The intercooler on the front is the coolant intercooler. So doesnt need to be massive.

Just need the water jets for extra cooling power when doing burnouts and heavy load driving events.

ChrisBA- 10-06-2008
So its an air to water intercooler? Yeah I've seen this setup you are talking about with that manifold actually, apparently it's not too bad as well.

Nice install on the cb as well mate, well done. Don't worry, I'll be buying my new cb setup next week hopefully, so you won't be talking to yourself, ch16 apparently for the cruises. smile.gif
