Unlucky what happened mate. It shouldnt cost too much too get the car fixed if you do it on the cheap. I know someone who owns a wrecker at fremantle so theres a good chance that he has a ba falcon that you can get a few parts off. I also know someone who works at Ford and the parts that he normally gets me are very cheap so ill ask around for you mate and try and help you out a bit. My dad has a mate who is a panel beater so he might be able to help you out or you can take it to a TAFE campus and the 2nd or 3rd year students work on your car and i beleive all you have to pay is the parts. Post up if you find any more damage beside the ones shown in the photos. I want to help get LIONHUNTR back on the road!

Cheers for your help mate. If you could ask your mate at the wreckers that would be great. Any colour panels would be ok. Can always get them painted.

And the TAFE idea is a very good one. Its not as if they are going to do a bad job because the lecturer will want them to do it properly.

Cheers again
Shaun

No problems mate. Ill be going there this week to get a few things so ill have a chat to him about your car when im there. If you can give me a rough list of things that you need then that would be great and i can come back to you with a price.
If you want to check the extent of damage on your car then i suggest taking the front bar off, maybe even the rear bar if theres damage there, jack all 4 corners of the car up, take off the wheels and check your suspension, steering, chasis and go over everything under the car and around to make sure that nothing important is bent or broken. Compare both sides of the car if your unsure if it is bent or not.
Judging by the video your chassis should be okay and the suspension should have little to no damage done to it.
How did you get her home?
If you need any help with anything then PM me and if im not doing anything then i can give you a hand.

crikey thats a bad turn! GLad you're ok at least. Isnt that Diff bolt a big prob for BA falcs though? I recall hearing about them busting quite a few times...

xt3valve- 10-13-2008
Not too shure if it was the diff bolt now. Jacked the car up and put it on stands. I ran the car on the stands and by the way it looks. It looks like I have just bent the left hand rear hub or somthing. The right habd one turns sweet as. No wobbiling. But the letf does wobble. Comparing both axils they look good. So it must just be the hub. Easy replaced.

Havnt looked at the front steering but I just hope it just needs a major wheel alighnment.

The front damage looks to be a bit worse than I first thaught. Just being more things bent than I had hoped.

But first I want to get the car driving straight and all sweet. Then I can go get quotes for the pannel damage.

Cheers for everyones conserns. Its good to know there are caring people out there.

Yeah Shaun I had to almost pick my jaw up off the ground after that aye. Its good that you were able to chuckle about it even as you were getting checked out, had I have been in your position I would have been using every word in the book and maybe inventing some of my own. But I'm glad you're ok, that's the main thing.

Hope it doesn't cost too much to fix it. Keep us posted on how its going mate.

P.S. What do you mean racetrack? Didn't it happen on Wannaroo Rd? You know, that crappy little blue Mirage that hit you? wadesta/B1.gif

P.P.S. You should see if you can get money out of Telstra. Claim advertising pay for the paint on the rear quarter wadesta/wink.gif .

A few more pics.

Made the light and indicator piss.

Here you can sorta see the wheel bent out. I think caused by a hent hub.

user posted image

Here I have taken the light out and it looks like there is a fair bit of bent metal behind there.

user posted image

Up on stilts with the front bar removed. Was seeing if the rear axil was bent but comparing with the other side it looks fine. Just the brake disk is wabbily so looks like a ben hub. Should be easy to fix if you can buy the hubs seperatly.
