Hey Shaun if you can see the fuel reg to know it's leaking, is it possible to just get a spanner on there and try tweaking it up? It's probably just loosened itself mate or the o-ring might be gone if the BA still has them. Would save you some time and money if you can have a look yourself and sus it out! smile.gif

Yeh I could try and fix it myself. But dont want to make the problem any worse by stuffing it up.

The fuel regulator is a billet aftermarket unit. Not a ford part. The fuel is comming from a screw in the back of the unit. And dont know if the screw is just a plug screw or if it controlls the fuel/fuel pressure. So dont realy want to be screwing it in or out. It looks like over time the fuel has eaten away the sealent used on the thread of the screw.

Anyway I have run out of time now and fly back up north tommorow arvo. So it will all have to wait another month till I get back. Sucks.

What colour brand is the fuel reg?

Worse case scenario, take the old one off, Buy a new fuel reg, Chances are Aeromotive make the one that will be the go to suit your needs, more than likely a direct bolt on.

I reckon it could be either a O ring gone bad because of being stagnant for a while, possibly even just tightening .

i wouldnt put it off though before driving, a lean out with boost is a recipe for disaster.

good to see your still at it. thought you may have given up all hope

Yeh schnoods its a red Aeromotive one. There is a brass screw in the back of it and around the thread there looks to be white sealent tape that has been applied and screwed back into place. Over time it looks like the fuel has eaten the sealent tape and is now escaping through the thread. I would have no problems fixing it myself only if I knew what the screw was there for. Like I said dont want to screw it out if it controls the flow of fuel or something. Or it could just be a plug screw. Pluging a hole there another hose could be screwed in.

Hahaha its god having internet in the iddle of the desert now. Dont feel so isolated anymore. biggrin.gif

mark screw with paint pen unscrew repair then screw back in the same amount of times

Daynesy- 10-27-2009
Or you could also send an email or 2 to some suppliers or Aeromotive directly (if possible) and ask them directly smile.gif.

Oh and welcome back smile.gif

welcome back awesome to hear that this weapon will be back on the streets sometime. wadesta/buttrock.gif

Shaun, that brass screw is just a port for a fuel pressure reg, nothing behind it at all, just fuel (if theres pressure in there).

I WOULD NOT waste any money getting that fixed. All you gotta do is make sure fuel pressure is non existent, i.e been sitting there all night, then unscrew it, clean off thread tape, apply thread sealant and screw it back in, Wa-lah, done, saved ya self a couple of hundred bucks.

Thats awesom man thanks for that info. Just what I wanted to hear.

I will fix it when I get back home. Haha thats in a month, just flew out today.

Gives me the shits. Now I know I can fix it but cant.

Anyone whant a lend of a supercharged BA haha.

XH5LWEPN- 10-27-2009
Dude if you've got any hesitation, let me know and i'll come give ya hand.

xt3valve- 10-27-2009
Cheers mate. Should be sweet though. Just didnt know if it was a critical screw or just a plug. Will just do what you suggested. Remove, clean, re-seal, replace.

Your a legend.
