hey guys/gals, just wondering if anyone has a 6 spd manual gearbox they want to sell or knows of someone or somewhere i can buy one.

its to suit a 95 ef falcon

you wont find a 6spd (aka T56) to suit a E series,

theres a EF/L XR8 going around in Perth with a T56 ... clampy owns it still?

he got a custom bellhousing and internals or something so it would fit.


if you are after a stronger manual box, then you cant go past the (5spd) TKO600 about $3500 .. but almost indestructible

you will get a T56 standard for around $4k ... and thats not to suit E series

lol im just after a manual gearbox that has a 2nd gear that works (oh and 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th)

where could i find a TKO600? anywhere in particular or just ask around?

Tocchi. Dont Malwood do a 6speed to suit the eseries? Check out what fritzz did on fordmods for his box (5 tko iirc). easy enough. But the 6 speed would be benificial with your diff gears dave.

No, clampy doesn't own it any more, but it is still in Perth.

Pyroay is a 6 speed from Mal Wood, so yes Moody, they do one for the eseries.

Only issue with the Mal Wood 6 speed is the box is about $8.5k (well & truly beefed up of course), but then you need to do a hydraulic clitch conversion etc. as well IIRC.

Yep, fritzz has the TKO600 5 speed in his turbo now.

Better ratios and great durability in a it than a t5. Not cheap and not a straight up fitment.

Mal Wood do both, A tko600 is around 3500 and a t56 6 speed is around 7-8 grand as far as I know. The six speed would require bellhousing, tailshaft and perhaps input/output shaft to suit.

Either way by the time you find a cheap 6 speed box (2-3 grand) and get everything made to suit, it maybe worth more than trading up to a six speed equipped car.

haha if you're doing all that screwing around to get 6 cogs... get a ZF auto rigged up properly.

really? withl the high horsepower sub 11 second ls1's its 50-50 manual autos. maybe in top fuelers or those nitro doo-dads. Daves car with a stall, and auto will be slower than a manual. Plus autos are weak

E series autos are way better... im still cutting myself over the fact ive got a T56 for my ute. hahahahaha
