I thought you'd say that, cos I'm working day shifts this weekend, the only time I have worked days in about 3 years!! sad.gif Oh well, enjoy...

Theres always the following weekend wink.gif

I thought they would be EL GTs. I'm thinking of using mine (or the EB GTs) as dailys as well. Cheaper to replace when the right foot gets too heavy.

+1 for joining the V8 XR convoy Jeff. biggrin.gif

Next time you go on a cruise like that Jeff, I'd be keen to come along if I'm home. It's good to se the big girl on the road again.

You werent home on Monday were you?
Let me know when your home each time so i can get you to come along.
A 3rd red EL XR8 would have topped it off nicely, especially with a f***in tuff windsor in it!!!

Yep, you're right. I wasn't home. I'm playing Mr Mum this break, so I doubt I'd be able to get out, but on my next one I'll be due some free time to do with as I please. Haha.

Is the 'box freeing up a bit? Or you haven't driven it since?

XH5LWEPN- 06-04-2009
Haha, no worries Chad.
Nah havent driven it since but i could feel it getting better throughout the 100kms i done on Monday.

Finished off what was left to do around the shifter on Saturday night.
As the shifter sits approx 50mm forward it left a big gaping hole behind it. At first i just left it as i just wanted to drive the damned thing, and that wasnt stopping it, so i got onto it and finished it off.
Heres a few pics.

This pic shows what i made up to bring the shifter back to original position, well close to. And the original rubber seal i just had sitting there at first.

Here you can see how much was taken out of the trans tunnel to get the shifter in. I probley could have cut less but i just brought it up to that ridge. Bit rough, but i will idy i up when i get some trim-lok.

Then this is what i done to seal the hole. I re-used that old "ring" as it has the mounting points for the front of the centre console, i just cut the front section out as it would have fouled on the shifter.

And this is how it sits in the console all back together.

Note. The dvd player in the last pic is for sale if anyones interested. $250

Haha, come on, i've been doing good at blowing the cobwebs out lately.
Funny though, i serviced it on Saturday and noticed since November 2007 the ute had done 4000km, lol. 4000km in 18 months, not bad wink.gif

Kilma- 06-10-2009
Moar pikchaz of cobwebs being blown out please.

My housemate wins that one hands down. He has just racked up 5000kms (I think) on his 1989 R32 GTR in the 5 years of owning it. I think it has a total of about 60,000kms on it. It has had it's fair share of time off the road though. wadesta/LOL.gif

Fitted a Pioneer AVH-P5750DVD into the ute last weekend with the iPOD interface.
DVD player works fine but not getting any sound through the iPOD = Strange.
Any ideas?

Anyway, the unit looks pretty good in the ute and clears the dash fine once folded out to, which is a bonus. Obviously hs the adjustable angle, but yeah can get it to a decent enough angle before it fouls on it.

Heres a couple of dodgey pics of it. Probly should have used flash, lol
