Was ganna say try upgrading firmware on ur ipod (with iTunes). I had to do that to mine to get it to work with my alpine one...

BTW, that shifter looks sweet. Did you have to move the centre console forward also? Or is there enough play where the shifter boot is...?

Either way, looks good! Hope mine works out when I get around to it!

Nah didnt move the centre console at all. In the pic you can see the flat-bar bracket i made to bring the actual shifter handle back to its original location so it all looks and feels factory.

Also, good news.
Dave Cleary, who originally done the panel and paint on the ute, is gonna repsray that side for an awesome price.
Top bloke he is, i'd reccomnd him for anyone looking for panel and paint work.

Ooops, yes - i see now (image didnt load last time on this shitty connection!). Shifter looks good - how does it feel when changing gears?

Ipod - head unit didnt pick it up at all until i upgraded firmware - only prob is ul have to back ur music up first (use copypod, or i think winamp does it now too). Then it was sweet....

Jeff, I'm using Pioneer and iPod. You shouldn't need to do anything. Just plug and play. I can give you contact details for someone in Balcatta who'll have a look at it for you. He'll be able to work it out for you in no time. Shouldn't cost you anything if I call ahead.

Actually, one thing that's in the settings (I think the main settings where you do the clock, date, language, etc.) is an iPod level. Check that isn't turned right down...

Just a few pics to throw up.

The Di-fillipo headers. These are the reason my exhaust hasnt been done yet. Obviously waiting untill i fit these so it gets done once and once properly. No point making it to suit the pacies, then changing it all to suit these.
Anyway, got them off my mates EL XR8, straight swap for my Pacies.
This is how they looked after i got them and gave them a once over with a scotch-brite pad.


Then gave them a few coats of VHT Flame Proof flat-black paint. Came up a treat. Was considering getting them HPC'd, but $22.00 sounded better than $400.00.



So yeah, i'll be chucking them on this weekend, then its back into Doms on Wednesday to get the new system done.

Was pulling the Koyas off the ute on the weekend, and the missus 20's were sitting in the garage, so i thought i'd chuck one on. I reckon the ute would look good with black rims. Could have cleaned it first though.


Heres a sneak peak to the new wheels that are ACTUALLY going on the ute, well they are half on, only got 2 tyres so far. Looks hot with these on. Chucked two onto the same side first and it looks sweet.
Now i just gotta get 2 more tyres.

Yes, new rims will look awesome though Jeff. Could look into powdercoating them black if you want a dark set??

Yeah i got them thinking if i didnt like them i could get them painted like dark agents but i like the silver, looks good on the ute and the silver paint on these wheels is killer in the sun.
