Big night out at the 'Plex tonight. Was going there pretty confident to beat the 13.6@104mph, nice cold weather @ 18*c, track temp @ 23*c. Put on all the 16" FTR's equipped with Wanli 225/50/16's @30psi in the rear, nothing else changed to the car bar the Crane HI-6S and coil.
First run out of the box was 13.57@105.6 with 2.2160ft. The rest are as follows.
13.38@106.1mph with 2.14 60ft. Farking happy at this point!!!
13.52@105.3mph with 2.12 60ft.
14.1@104.1mph with 2.26 60ft. Spun up at the end of first then big fishies up the track in 2nd !!!
13.34@106.1mph with 2.11 60ft. Consistentcy was coming.
13.46@105.8mph with 2.15 60ft. Still hanging in.
13.50@105.5mph with 2.19 60ft. .....................
Then last run of the night,
13.34@105.7mph with a best 60ft ever of 2.08. Consistency is there.
Very pleased with the night. Dropped .3 off the ET and 2mph trap speed and also got 60ft down .1-.2 to the lowest 0f 2.0sec. I never expected that at all, i went down there looking for 13.5's with a 13.4 in the back of my mind, but do put down 3 passes of 13.3 is unreal. Really happy to how the utes performing, real credit to those who are responsible for the whole thing. Now just to make a few suspension and tyre changes and aim for a some 12.99's

Very nice results there Jeff. Good to hear you are happy with them as well.
I was almost thinking about heading down last night (on the bike of course), but didn't bother in the end. Sounds like I should have.

Good stuff Jeff.

Well done man. Impressive. I was hitting the same 60 footers and about 1 mph slower but couldn't beat a 14.1 lol. Are the tyres any good? what are they worth?

Must have been that lack of mid-range torque from the Gen3
Tyres quite suprised me, @ $110ea they held up quite well. Best tyre i've had down the track so far.

Bought a pair of Whiteline sway bars for the ute recently. Had the rear one fitted up today but couldnt get the front one done as they sent the wrong bar in the right box, DOH!! So it will be going back in next week sometime to have it fitted along with a heap of front bushes that are badly flogged out, cant blame them being nearly 10 years old now.
The feel of the ute now with just the rear bar fitted, Unbelievable!!!! Feels so much stiffer in the a*** end now and feels as though its almost completely eliminated body roll in the rear. It has provoked oversteer abit though, which doesnt worry me , but it helps keep the rear end level in turn helps it turn both rear at the same time instead of open wheeling everynow and then.
Overall very happy with them, i reccomend anybody with leaf sprung e-series to try the rear bar out, it really does work. Now just cant wait to see how it comes up once all te fronts done.
Heres a pic, note how the diff breather gets in the way abit.

Thanks mate. Yeah im stoked with what times and numbers the ute has put out. It hasnt let me down once. The XH is a great looking body but can beabit weak when yu start pushin some real power through them, also the suspension has a lot to be desired when your talking about hooking up etc. The ultimate IMO would be an EB body, much lighter and abit more refined in the suspension etc. This still wont stop me doing the new build for my ute though, something similiar to yours is in the pipeline but a PD blower instead.

Not much has been happening to the ute lately. Had the front sway-bar fitted along with all new Super-pro bushes throughout the front-end, much much tighter in the front now, feels really responsive. TKO600 is getting closer, should have it here inside 2 months, then i just got to source the bits to get it in. Looks like i'll be hitting the strip with the T5 again for a while, see how she holds up with the Hoosier DOT's on the back. Got rid of the AU centre console in exchange for a factory XH one again. Dont drive the ute enough, especially with a drink, to warrant the need of th AU console with cup holders, so i decided to return it to factory looks just with the addition of an EB GT gear boot i had lying around. AEM AFR guage still fitted nicely with the original console back in. Also finally got myself a PWR alloy header tank so i fitted that in today. Tidy's the look under the bonnet up alot, the engine bay has been screaming for one for a long time now. Bought some polished billet aluminium u/drive pulleys. Unfortunately they arent a direct bolt on job so they are in the hands of a good mate of mine to get modified during the week, no major mods required. He'll also be making me up two billet alloy idlers aswell. Heres a few pics of the two new mods to date, will keep updated as things change.
Cheers, Jeff
